The majestic structures inside the 15,700㎡ temple are positioned along the foot of Mt. Atago, one of the three mountains in the city. Large straw sandals placed on the two-meter Nio-mon Gate, a symbol of the city, are worth seeing, as such a huge size can be seen nowhere else. After climbing up 108 stone steps, a historic vermillion Buddhist hall and a three story pagoda await.
