Hiroshima is said to be an important sake brewing town, together with Nada in Hyogo Prefecture and Fushimi in Kyoto Prefecture.
Along the street, there are seven sake brewers which are located within a walking distance from JR Saijo station. Visitors can taste sake and see the factory. Some cellars are renovated into cafés and gift shops.
Every year on the second Saturday and Sunday of October, the Sake Festival is held. A wide range of sake brought from all over Japan can be enjoyed.
