Built at the ruins of Ninomaru Palace in Fukuyama Castle by Wasuke Annbe who made his fortune in marine products, it was completed in 1937 after two years of work. It is a tangible cultural asset designated by the government. There is a Japanese style building, a western style building, a tea ceremony room, a warehouse, and a stroll-around style Japanese garden. The garden with Fukuyama Castle in the background makes a marvelous picture. Visitors can also try some Japanese traditional culture, such as kimono wearing, tea ceremony and koto (horizontal harp) and Noh (stage performance).
