The leaves of Mt. Daisen, which is considered to be a holy mountain, start to change their colors from early October, with the peak season from late October to early November. The Kakkake Pass at an altitude of 910 meters and situated on the Kofu-cho side of the mountain, is one of the best spots to see the autumn leaves. The leaves of the Japanese beech turn vermillion, orange and yellow. The sight of colored leaves with the snow covered mountain ridge in the background is marvelous. Breathe in the magnificent view and the fresh highland air.
