The beach, located in the Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-national Park, extends from the Hagi Castle remains, which is registered as a national historic site, toward Hagi Bay. The peaceful scenery of Sizuki Mountain, national natural monument and dotting islands off the bay soothes viewers’ minds. Especially the view of the sun which sets between Mt. Sizuki and the islands is fabulous. It is chosen as one of 100 best swimming beaches due to high water quality and the surrounding environment.
