Learn how to make delicious Japanese wagashi at the Matsue Horikawa Local Beer Hall next to one of the boarding points for the Horikawa Sightseeing Boat. The Matsue Horikawa Local Beer Hall located near several
popular sightseeing spots such as Matsue Castle, the Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum and the Former Samurai Residence . At this authentic wagashi workshop, a master craftsman from the famous Japanese confectionery store Saiundo will teach you how to make two seasonal Japanese wagashi confections ( nerikiri and kinton ) using traditional tools. At the Matsue Horikawa Local Beer Hall, you can also dine on Shimane wagyu beef in their restaurant and choose from a wide range of Matsue products at the gift shop. They also offer a rental bicycle service.
