Harusato Matsudaira also known as Humai was a great tea ceremony master. This building was once transferred to the residence of Count Matsudaira in Tokyo, and later was returned to Matsue. In 1966 it was reconstructed at the present place. The annexed room, Hyakuso-tei, serves green tea to visitors.
