5,000 men clad in white or half-naked start to fill the city on the evening of the 25th and make a round trip from Hofu Tenmangu Shinto Shrine to Katsuma-no-ura, carrying two big portable shrines. On the afternoon of the 6th, women join and carry the portable shrine, too.
