The Dunes are located in the San’in Kaigan Geopark and stretches 16km east to west and 2,4 km north to south. They are Japan’s only coastal dunes which are designated as a natural monument. Visitors are enchanted by various beautiful patterns made by sand and wind, such as ripples, pillars and curtains.
Various activities, such as camel riding, paragliding, sandboarding, and fatbike riding can be enjoyed, too.
