The restaurant, popular among both locals and tourists, is run by a fishery association and has a good reputation for reasonable-priced seasonal fresh seafood. All year round, a high quality fresh harvest of the sea is available. From April to the middle of May, the shop serves a bowl of rice topped with Sakaiminato Salmon; silver salmon which is farmed in nearby Miho Bay. The bright pink colored salmon meat has no fishy smell, as only live fish is used. The texture and taste are the best during this season. You can order it not only raw, but also roasted. This is one of the musts for visitors to Sakaiminato.
