In the hottest mid-summer of August, 150 paper lanterns are hung along Honjin Street. This hanging type lantern cannot be found in other regions. The lanterns illuminate the former roadside post-station town, where a historical atmosphere remains. Traditional local dance is indispensable for the festival.
