Natane Island with 60-meter altitude and 400-meter circumference, which is the biggest island located along the Uradome Beach, is a stretch of sharp cliffs. Originally it was one promontory. After it eroded gradually, its upper surface collapsed. Then the present shape was created. The name of Natane Island (lit. Rape Flower Island) derives from pretty rape flowers which can be seen at the tip in spring.
